Membership Benefits

Working Groups

ETN has four Working Groups focusing on different technical and research areas. WGs define priority research fields and set up research projects. Working Group meetings (usually 2-3 times a year) facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Members can have their representatives sitting in more than one WG. For each Working Group, ETN builds up a database of documents/publications of interest, where members’ contributions to various technical magazines and selected articles are stored. Members have also opportunities to participate in ETN consortium in case of bidding for European and/or international research funding.

Networking opportunities

ETN organises several members-only meetings a year and the bi-annual international GT conference, where members have extensive networking opportunities and are able to maximize the visibility and promote their organisations/companies within the European and international gas turbine community.

Access to Member Area of ETN website

ETN members are given access to the Member Area of its official website, where they can find database, studies, industrial research and survey results and meeting documents. Members can participate in online discussion forums of different WGs. Inside the Member Area, members can locate contact details and information about individual expertises of all members. Members are also alerted the latest development in regulatory and technical fields in Europe.

Influence EU energy and research agenda

ETN monitors and alerts members to GT-related events and the European Union policy developments in energy and research, and to funding opportunities, such as the 7th Framework Programme. ETN advocates the role of gas

turbine technology in realising EU target of zero emissions in power generation. ETN identifies research gaps and influences EU research agenda and policy-making at early stage.

Receive email alert monthly and newsletters quarterly

Members receive monthly email alert summarising latest news and events. ETN also produces and distributes quarterly newsletters to all members. Newsletters contain information about ETN activities and new members’ profiles.

Reduced fee at International Gas Turbine Conference

The International Gas Turbine Conference is organised bi-annually by ETN in Brussels. It brings together delegates from gas turbine community around the globe including European research institutes, OEMs, suppliers and service providers, Asian and American GT-related associations. Members of ETN will be given priority in conference reservation and reduced conference participation fees. Members will also have the opportunity to be involved in the Conference Advisory Board and hence in identifying speakers and selecting technical presentations.

Promote your events and organisation/company

Members can submit information about GT-related events organised by their organisation/company to ETN, which will appear under “GT Events” of the ETN website. Members also have poster opportunities at selected ETN-organised events. They are effective channels to promote events and reach wider audience in the GT industry.
