The International Gas Turbine Conference is organised by the European Turbine Network. It takes place biennially in Brussels, Belgium, bringing together the whole value chain of gas turbine technology and research. Representatives from the European and international gas turbine community and policy-makers meet to discuss recent developments and future outlook on the market. The next conference will take place in October 2012. |

The 6th International Gas Turbine Conference (IGTC-12) will take place on 17-18 October 2012 in Brussels. It will focus on the future of GT technology from a user’s, research, investment and political point of view, with special focus on:
- The role played by gas turbines in the future international energy policy mix, where intermittent sources of renewable energy may significantly increase, nuclear capacity may drastically decrease by 2050, while the emerging economies’ demand for cheap and secure energy will rapidly rise to assist their economic growth in coming decades;
- Current and future technology trends and the different stakeholders’ views on required technology developments to ensure efficient, flexible, reliable and environmentally sound gas turbine operation.
